Sintered Wire Mesh Filters Discs are cut-outs from sintered wire mesh which is basically a combination of single-layer or multi-layer woven wires through the "sintering" technique. Here is how it happens.
Place the different layers of woven wire mesh flat and uniformly in a correct sequence and make sure each layer of wire mesh attaches to each other tightly on each point.
Then the mesh is laminated with professional fixtures and well-placed in the high-temperature furnaces. The wire fabrics are then successfully sintered under heavy-duty mechanical pressure.
The whole process is carried out under the protection of inert gas and the regulated consistent high temperatures until the mesh is fully diffusion bonded.
After the sintering process is done, the original multi-layers of fabrics become a whole piece. It will need to be cooled down under a regulated temperature and a special environment.
The final sintered mesh after cooled down becomes a flat solid-metal-sheet-like wire screen which is super rigid and tough as all the mesh panels become a complete one.
Sintered mesh is then cut to size or punched out to a certain shape as discs or laser cut into exotic shapes.
Sintered mesh is mainly made of stainless steel wire mesh and super Nickle alloy woven wires like Inconel wire mesh, Incoloy mesh, Hastelloy woven wire mesh, etc.
