GET A QUOTEFlat top crimped wire mesh is also known as smooth-top wire mesh. Just like its counterpart lock crimped wire mesh, the flat top crimped screen is
made of pre-crimped wires in both warp and weft directions. The only difference is that all the crimps of the flat top pattern are made on one side of the screen whereas the opposite side is a completely flat surface. Compared to the lock crimp, it has a more flat and smooth surface due to its different crimping styles.
When applied to the mining industry, the flat surface helps with the passing speed of the material with less friction. And it will be less worn than other weaving patterns.
And the flat side of the mesh screen is always favored by architects for wall cladding, balustrading, façade mesh, and fencing infill screens.
